I respectfully reserve the right not to bear arms. As a teacher of elementary-aged children I have been contemplating my role in their lives and my place in our society in light of the recent horrors that have caused some to begin training to carry arms into their classrooms.

"This exponential rise in residents eager to engage in the city’s most crucial conversations in sincere and meaningful ways should serve as a signal to our city’s leadership that our strongest solutions to our most pressing challenges as a community are readily available should the city ask and listen."

Meet and Greet in Roy/West Haven

That’s part of the reason I decided to run for the Utah House of Representatives. We need more leaders who understand how these political decisions affect the very real lives of people each and every day. Access to health care should not be a political issue, and it should not be up for debate.

"For years, both before and during my time on the Ogden City Council, I have built a reputation for working with community partners and residents to address the most pressing needs of our community. What makes this possible? Trust. I’ve always believed in breaking through political divides to focus on what’s best for the people of Ogden, and that commitment has led to real change. Here’s just a glimpse of the work we’ve accomplished together..."

Elect a proven community leader in November

Angela Choberka has been a member of the Ogden City Council for six years. In this episode, she explains how the council works, and how her career relates to her work on the council, and we discuss some of the big projects the council is working on right now including Wonderblock and the Union Station.

STRONGER COMMUNITIES

"I have always respected and admired first responders who work tirelessly to keep our community safe. When I joined the Ogden City Council, I participated in the Citizen Police Academy hosted by the Ogden Police Department and numerous other entities across the county, where I learned the complexities of maintaining our safety...They don’t do their jobs for the money but because they care about our community."

Fair Pay Advocacy: Backing Our Public Safety Teams

"Healthy, productive debate around issues that are important to us all, such as growth, transportation, potholes, budgetary items, social issues like supporting the unhoused and youth recreation, to name a few, are important to how we decide together to build our community. And this type of dialogue can only bring about a better outcome."

After the costs have been identified and the program is approved, we believe joining will be the single most impactful and affordable step our communities can take to leave a better environment for future generations. All we ask is that community leaders allow the process to play out and the facts to be known before closing the door on this once-in-a-lifetime clean energy opportunity.
